Mosaic can create an artistic sense on the floor or wall of your house. The application is quite easy, and so with the material. It is diverse in its material. Mosaic is a series of various ceramic materials, glass, wood, and so forth. From these materials, we can produce something beautiful and interesting, depending on how we apply it. It is a series of mosaics, the arrangement, or a combination of various pieces like glass, ceramic, marble, stone, or other objects. The items are then mixed and matched resulting in something more beautiful.

Before discussing the mosaic and its application in residential, it helps us know the evolution of the mosaic itself. Mosaic originated from clay that is pressed on a background as an ornament on the walls of ancient Egypt, then developed in the days of the Roman Empire until then made the Pebble stone. Pebble stones are often used as highway pavement. Use mosaic growing and becoming very diverse with the use of different materials, according to the capability of building techniques and for various fields of use, both as an ornamental walls, floors, and glass windows in churches in the form of stained glass.
